A ski accident on a New Hampshire mountain claims the life of a 12-year-old boy
A horrific accident on New Year’s Eve claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy on a ski trip at Cranmore Mountain in New Hampshire.
According to officials, the boy was skiing on the intermediate track when the accident happened.
The North Conway Fire and Rescue team arrived at the scene and the boy was transported to the mountain where he was unconscious.

CPR was performed by the Cranmore Ski Patrol team but was unsuccessful, and he was transported by ambulance to MaineHealth Memorial Hospital where he could not recover. He is said to have died from his injuries.
Cranmore Mountain Resort and Conway Police Chief Christopher Mattei issued statements expressing their condolences.

“On behalf of Cranmore Mountain Resort, our thoughts and prayers go out to the family,” a Cranmore Mountain spokesperson said in a statement. “The entire Cranmore family is saddened by this tragic loss.”

“On behalf of the Conway Police Department, and all the first responders who assisted, I would like to extend my condolences to the family of this 12-year-old boy,” Mattei wrote.

The victim’s name has not been released yet.
The investigation is ongoing.
