The US military said on Tuesday that its forces had “conducted multiple precision strikes” against them The Houthis targeted in the capital of Yemen.

One witness in Yemen’s Houthi-controlled capital, Sanaa, reported multiple strikes in different areas. It was also reported that the Ministry of Defense raided Sanaa and heard a loud explosion.

The command said there were no injuries or damage to US personnel or equipment.

The strikes are part of CENTCOM’s effort to degrade Iran-backed Houthi efforts to threaten regional allies and military and commercial shipping in the region.

Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam called the strikes “American aggression” and “a clear violation of the sovereignty of an independent country and open support for Israel.”

Rebels said on Tuesday that they had fired two missiles at Israel, hours after the Israeli army said it intercepted the gunfire from the country. Earlier in December, a rocket fired into Yemen arrived in the Tel Aviv areawhich left more than ten people injured from broken glass, according to the Israeli military. That came days after Israeli airstrikes targeted the Houthi rebels.
