Brad Pitt again Angelina Jolie have been locked in a messy courtroom since filing for divorce in September 2016, but the two have not always agreed.
The Oscar winners allegedly fell out with each other while filming the 2005 drama Mr & Mrs Smith. The origins of their relationship quickly caused controversy since Pitt married her Jennifer Aniston at that time. I Friends alum filed for divorce from Pitt in March 2005.
Pitt and Jolie welcomed daughter Shiloh in 2006, the same year they had son Maddox and daughter Zahara. Jolie welcomed Pax’s son in 2007 (Pitt followed in 2008). Their twins, Knox and Vivienne, were born in July 2008.
The couple officially tied the knot in France in August 2014, but split again two years later. Jolie has accused her ex of “physically and emotionally abusing” her and their children on a September 2016 flight from California to France, which Pitt has denied. The two settled their divorce eight years later in December 2024.
Pitt sued Jolie in February 2022, claiming she sold his share of the French winery Château Miraval without his consent.
