The 90s Sci-Fi Sequel That Was A Mega-Franchise Disaster, Has Finally Been Rescued!

However, the release of the Assembly Cut – itself remastered for subsequent home video releases – managed to show just how misunderstood the film was upon its release. Speaking personally, I even get the value of the original theatrical version of the movie. Yes, it’s an inevitable burst of winks, but that’s what it’s all about and it pulls off that ethos with strong acting and even stronger filmmaking.
The alien 3 it deserves a cult due to the fact that it has been able to be cultivated in the last ten years. It’s very different from any other movie in the series, and that alone makes it a unique project worth celebrating.
