Nicole Kidman Acquires Rights to INXS’ Never Tear Us Apart Babygirl

An actress. Producer. Music manager? Nicole Kidman he used his connections to make an important scene happen in his new sensational drama, Baby girl.

According to the director Halina Reijnthe Oscar winner, 57, was instrumental in securing the rights to the classic INXS song “Never Tear Us Apart” for a scene in the new film.

“We put it in the car. I almost cried. Me and my editor, we were screaming at each other,” explained Reijn in an interview with the “ReelBlend Podcast” on Friday, December 27. “The next day, I called. [movie studio] A24 and I said, ‘Okay, we need to get the rights to this song.’ He said no. They say it’s difficult, no. And I didn’t sleep for a week. I tried every other song I could think of. Nothing works.”
