Miami teammates battle side by side during the Pop-Tarts Bowl
From what we can all see on social media, the Pop-Tarts Bowl is full of funny stuff.
But there appeared to be an incident during the game on Saturday between the two Miami Hurricanes that led to the explosion.
Senior Simeon Barrow Jr. and freshman Marquise Lightfoot were split after Barrow Jr. threw a punch and Lightfoot shoved Barrow.

The Hurricanes didn’t want to play on Saturday. They were in control of their future heading into the College Football Playoff, but after losing to Syracuse in the final week of the season, they were eliminated from the ACC title game, and ultimately, the championship.
The brouhaha comes after a high-scoring first quarter in which the Hurricanes allowed 21 points to Iowa State. The Cyclones won the game, 42-41.
Cam Ward, a possible first-round pick in the NFL Draft, only played in the first half, exiting the game after Miami regained a 31-28 lead before halftime.

After the game, the Pop-Tarts mascot was “toasted,” and the Cyclones were awarded the toaster trophy.
It is the first time the Cyclones have won 11 games in a season.
Game MVP Rocco Becht hit a field goal on fourth-and-goal with 56 seconds left to win the game.
