ANTM’s Adrianne Curry Opens Up About Her ‘Far Away’ Life in Montana
Adrianne Curry she traded catwalks in the Montana wilderness, where she lives with her husband, Matthew Rhode.
“Seven years ago, I lived VERY far away,” Curry, 42, wrote via X on Friday, December 27. “I could go months without hanging myself. [with] someone other than my husband. My life is lived in the thundering, shining silence of the wilderness.”
He added, “I get frustrated easily in big clubs/cities now. It can take days for the experience to wear off.”
There’s something about Curry’s constant solitude.
“I’m more focused on the world than ever before in my life,” he explained. “My awareness of the forest and what is around me is very sharp.”
A few hours later, Curry shared another photo of the Montana paradise via Instagram.
“There is no place you can be without him. You are meant to be,” he wrote on Saturday, December 28. “Easy. All you need is love.”
Along with her caption, Curry shared a photo with husband Rhode.
Curry rose to fame in the first season of America’s Next Top Model in 2003, where she bagged a coveted prize package of modeling contracts, product deals and more. After nine years in the fashion industry, Curry left.
“[America’s Next Top Model was] a polished gem that prepared me for the terrible truth that I could not trust anyone, even the people I thought I knew, and to know that I was still confused,” he said. People in July. “I’m thankful that things didn’t go the way I should have because I don’t see that I could be a high-level person if I had achieved great success in modeling.”
Curry added at the time, “I don’t think my little brain could wrap itself around that in a good way. … I felt like I was being used like a pig and I felt cornered. I couldn’t say no because the way they came to me was like, ‘Oh, we know you’re amazing at this, so we want to show you the nudity here, and we know you will,’ and blah, blah, blah.'”
Curry, who was previously married The Brady Bunch alum Christopher Knightshe later married Rhode in 2018.
“6 years ago … I married the man I ran away from Los Angeles with to start our biggest adventure yet,” she wrote on Instagram in September. “My biggest money is in the forest. <3.”
