Israel attacks Yemen airport in Sanaa, Hodeidah power station: Reports | News

CONTINUATION,

Israel launched airstrikes in Yemen targeting the Sanaa airport, the military base and the power plant in Hodeidah.

Israeli airstrikes have repeatedly targeted an airport, military base and power station in Yemen, Israeli and Houthi media.

Sanaa airport and the nearby Al-Dailami base were targeted along with a power station in Hodeidah, in an attack the Houthis’ Al-Masirah TV channel called “Israeli aggression”.

There was no immediate comment from Israel about the strikes, which came a day after Yemen fired a missile and two drones at Israel.

On Saturday, a Houthi missile attack left 16 people injured in Tel Aviv. Saturday’s incident prompted a warning from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said he had ordered the destruction of Houthi infrastructure.

Houthi fighters in Yemen have targeted Israel and allied vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since Israel launched its offensive on Gaza on October 7, 2023, following a Hamas-led attack on Israel.

The Houthis say they acted in cooperation with the Palestinians during the war in Gaza in which Israel killed more than 45,000 people, most of them children and women.
