How the Stars Celebrate Hanukkah 2024
At the station Adam Brodyletter to The OCthis year was really Chrismukkah, as the first night of Hanukkah falls on Christmas Day.
Gwyneth Paltrow started the celebrations on Wednesday, December 25, by lighting a menorah with an activist and actor partner. Noah Tishby.
“I think it’s what I like the most [memory] that’s when I go back to my grandparents’ house and get Hanukkah jelly,” Paltrow recalled in a social media video, referring to the chocolate coins. “I remember very well the gold, round coins and my brother and I tearing them apart.”
Paltrow grew up celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah like her mother, Blythe Dannerhe is a Christian, and his father, deceased Bruce Paltrowhe was raised as a Jew.
Now that Paltrow is older, she makes sure to bring Hanukkah traditions into her home with her husband Brad Falchuk and their extended family. (They all share two children from previous marriages.)
“We always light the menorah,” Paltrow said. “We always gather together and after we light the candles, it’s so nice, we all hug and bring light.”
