Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders laid out the rules for his team as they arrived at a hotel to prepare for the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
Sanders was seen on video telling his players that smoking is not allowed.

“If I smell smoke in any place or I get someone telling me there’s someone smoking in that place, that’s going to be your last gasp,” Sanders said.
The Colorado players started to laugh but coach Prime made it clear that he was serious.
“I’m trying to tell you – it’s going to be your last pull. That’s going to be your last pull. I hope it was good because it’s going to be your last,” he said. “I promise you, if I smell smoke on your clothes when you practice in the morning, at breakfast, or whatever, it will be the last of you.”
Sanders is taking his first Football Bowl Subdivision bowl game very seriously.

The Buffaloes will enter their first bowl game since the 2020 season, which was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic. But the football program hasn’t won a bowl game since 2004, when Gary Barnett was roaming the Buffaloes’ sideline.
Colorado has two players who are certain to go in the top five in the upcoming NFL Draft in Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. As a result, Colorado took out disability insurance in case players were injured in the Alamo Bowl and tarnished their draft stock.
“We have a lot of players that can’t get organized, they get the grade of not being adjusted. They have disability (insurance) for the whole season. We want to make sure that if something happens, they will cover it,” Sanders said on Monday. .
