Talk Cohosts Teases New Chapters Ahead of ‘Emotional’ Series Finale
After 15 successful seasons, it’s time to talk about the end of Speech.
Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell again Sheryl Underwood prepare to say goodbye to the long-running CBS series on Friday, December 20. Before those final episode tapes, however, the showrunners look back on their most memorable experiences on daytime TV.
“We have it and we have such good chemistry,” Morales, 52, said to himself Us Weekly before the end of the show series. “I think it always depends on the team around you and the chemistry and we all bring something unique and different. I think everyone has a unique background.”
Kloots, 42, joined the show in 2021 and is now asking for enough muscles to last him through the final week of filming.
The Talk has been a staple of daytime TV since it first aired in 2010. “I feel that each day will be emotional,” he said Us. “I think that every day they will highlight us with a montage. Montages always get me. I think each day will be difficult. “
Before they said their final goodbyes, Kloots and his colleagues were able to chat with them Us and share their favorite memories filming a daytime talk show. They also joked about the future as they live in the entertainment industry – and continued their group chat.
“These are friends forever,” declared O’Connell, 50. “I don’t think this is over. It’s funny when work ends because you have to go out and make plans now to see each other. But it will be funny if we see the story we usually talk about at work. I will be sending it to you guys!”
Sheryl Underwood
For nearly 13 years, Underwood, 61, brought her humor and perspective Speech.
“We have learned a lot from each other,” said the comedian Us before he begins his 2025 comedy tour dates. “I consider this a great evolution. It’s our time. A reporter of wonders [Natalie]actor, father [Jerry]. You’re talking about a Broadway star [Amanda]. Akbar, the footballer. I am entering the second season. We have come in our time. We did what we had to do. Now God is doing great things.”
Before she left the studio for good, Underwood joked that she would borrow some holiday decorations from the set.
“Do you see the Christmas tree behind you? It will be like the ribs of Flinstone’s car,” he joked. “I’m going to put it on top of my car.”

While the former NFL player likes to create memorable moments with special guests like Kelly Rowland, Steve Harvey again Montell JordanGbajabiamila, 45, will miss the friends who made him a better host and work partner.
“I will miss watching Natalie and her professionalism and the way she handles things,” he said American Ninja Warrior told the manager Us. “He is someone I always looked up to and admired from afar. The relationship I have with Amanda. We’re very close to the seats and you don’t have people like that in Los Angeles, per se. This cool, well-connected Midwest guy. “
Gbajabiamila called O’Connell a “cool entertainer” and praised Underwood’s valuable advice that it’s about “consistency” and “chemistry” on daytime television.
Natalie Morales
Morales is grateful Speech it allowed her to “relax and have fun” while many viewers were used to seeing her as “news Natalie.”
He is also happy that the show is a place where celebrity guests can visit and feel comfortable being with them.
“Whenever people come out here, they love the opportunity to associate with us,” explained Morales. “Our guests have always appreciated that this is not a gotcha program. This is not a show that is here to get a title. We are here to let them be free and happy with us, and we have fun every day.”
Morales plans to continue working with CBS and is expected to make more appearances 48 hours, CBS Mornings and other programs.
Amanda Kloots
When you look back at all the guests that appeared on SpeechKloots can’t believe he met his childhood crush.
“I loved it at the time Mark McGrath he was in the program,” he said Us. “I had a picture of him in my high school planner and I said to him in the air, ‘You had a crush on me in high school!’ Also, Zack Morris [Mark-Paul Gosselaar] while in our program. It’s so good to meet these people that in high school, I didn’t miss a Saturday morning Save the Steel. Same with Tiffany Thiessen while he was here.”
Looking to the future, Kloots will continue to work in the health and wellness space as well as host Live on the Other Side with Tyler Henry on Netflix.
Jerry O’Connell
While O’Connell loved interviewing celebrities and chatting with his associates, he wanted a special shout-out Speechclothing department.
“The clothes we wear are cool,” he said Us. “Now if I go to lunch with my wife, she will be very disappointed because it will be me again with my torn t-shirts and my dirty vans.”
Looking ahead, O’Connell is excited to start taking playwriting classes. He will continue to be a volleyball dad to his 15-year-old twin daughters Charlie and Dolly.
“It’s hard to keep my children playing volleyball. They are not crazy about it anymore,” he said. “I have teenage daughters who really said, ‘We’re thinking about quitting.’ [And I said] ‘Well, what about the last four years of my life and driving you everywhere? What about that?’”
Speech airs weekdays on CBS at 2 pm ET/1 pm PT with the final episode scheduled for Friday, December 20.
