Nicole Kidman almost gave up her acting career for farm life.
Kidman, 57, was considering giving up after giving birth to her first child with husband Keith Urban in 2008.
“When I gave birth on Sunday, I was like, ‘I think I’m pretty much done now,'” Kidman said in the Dec. 15 of “CBS Sunday Morning.” “I was moving to Nashville, we were living on a farm, and that’s when my mom really said, ‘I’m not going to give up completely. Keep your finger, like, on it.’
“And I would say, no, no. I’m done. I’m done.”

“When I gave birth on Sunday, I was like, ‘I think I’m pretty much done now.’ I moved to Nashville, we lived on a farm, and that’s when my mom really said, ‘I’m not going to give up completely, keep your finger on it.’
However, Kidman’s mother was adamant about her advice.
“He’ll say, ‘Just listen to me. I think you should move on. I’m not saying you have to do it at the level you’ve been doing, but I wouldn’t stop it completely.’
After opting to move on, Kidman starred in several blockbuster films including “Rabbit Hole,” “Just Go With It” and “Bombshell.” The actress also landed roles in popular TV series such as “Big Little Lies,” “The Undoing,” “Nine Perfect Strangers” and “The Perfect Couple.”

Kidman is just a regular “citizen” when she is at home in Tennessee with her children and husband.
The Oscar-winning actress can be found giving back to her community by buying diapers for a school donation drive or visiting a local children’s hospital.
“I like to be a part of something that’s not about my work, not who I am, that’s not it,” Kidman said earlier in an interview with. Elle magazine. “Just a citizen of the world. And my kids love that, too, when I do that.”

Outside of her home in Tennessee, Kidman is known as one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood. He is famous for his roles in “Being the Ricardos,” “Cold Mountain” and “Moulin Rouge!”. The actor also launched his own production company, Blossom Films, in 2010. The company is behind projects like “Rabbit Hole,” “Big Little Lies,” “Rescued,” “Nine Perfect Strangers” and, most recently, “Expats.”
Kidman was also appointed as a Balenciaga ambassador and attended the New York premiere of “Expats” wearing Atelier Versace.
“It feels wrong sometimes,” she told Elle. “I want to go out, take off my dress, put on my jammies. It’s like the opposite of Cinderella – I’m happy to go home and come back to myself. It feels overwhelming. I can say, ‘I need to go home now I’m so tired, and I want to curl up, and I want to feel real.’

“I live a very full life with the people I love,” he continued. “I am raising daughters. I am a wife, I am a best friend. I am a sister, I am an aunt. I have deep relationships with people. And that, to me, is the purpose of life – then we take care of what we leave behind, who we leave behind and how we do it, and our sense of honor for that. “
Kidman is a mother of four. She shares her two daughters – Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret – with Urban. The actress also shares two children, Bella and Connor, with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise.
