A writer who spoke to Luigi Mangione months before his murder reveals Luigi’s ‘frustration’.

Author Gurwinder Bhogal revealed to CNN during an interview that he spoke with Luigi Mangione for two hours, months before the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, and that Mangione was referring to frustration with the American health care system.

CNN’s Erin Burnett asked Bhogal about the video call he had with Mangione in May. Burnett said the timing was important because it was right before Mangione “went off the grid” in July.

Mangione was arrested in connection with Thompson’s murder at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s. Thompson was shot and killed outside a hotel in Manhattan.

“I mean, there are a few things that make a lot more sense now. But I mean, I can’t say that I would have really predicted his behavior from that, that video call. Um, you know, he talked about his frustration with the American health care system. There was a brief discussion where he compared, you know, he said America’s health care system is really expensive,” Bhogal said.

And I told him that it wasn’t easy because, although it was good, I was a big fan of universal healthcare and I said it wasn’t that easy because we had a huge waiting list -UK, you know, there is a little trade-off. The system was better than the US, and he agreed to that,” added Bhogal.

Bhogal also shared some of his memories of Mangione in their interview.

“He was very concerned about things like internet porn, like he believed that a lot of men weren’t going out and meeting women because they were addicted to porn. He was really concerned about video games. He believed that people weren’t achieving. They weren’t achieving things in the real world because they were getting these kind of dopamine hits. in video games,” Bhogal said.
