The Chiefs provided information on Patrick Mahomes’ injury after a concussion against Brown
The Kansas City Chiefs got another win on Sunday, this time against the Cleveland Browns on the road, but it didn’t come without an injury to quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Carson Wentz took over in the final minutes of the fourth quarter after Mahomes was tackled on a pass.
On a 4th-down play looking to extend the drive, Mahomes jumped on his pass attempt to one of his receivers as Browns defensive end Dalvin Tomlinson dived to tackle him.

When Tomlinson made the tackle, he wrapped Mahomes’ ankle underneath him, and it didn’t help that Mike Hall Jr. He also hit Mahomes above his waist so that he too bent over.
The ugly-looking hit saw Mahomes immediately in pain as he limped off the field, trying to get off his right ankle.

After the game, Chiefs coach Andy Reid gave an update on the status of the caller.
“His right ankle is injured,” he told reporters. “It’s not broken, but it hurts. He’ll start the rehab part as we go. We’ll have to see how he does here on the road.”
NFL Network reported that Mahomes is currently considered week-to-week after his initial diagnosis, which included negative X-rays.
However, as Reid said, the Chiefs will know how long Mahomes may be out following further testing on Monday.

Mahomes finished the 21-7 victory with 159 yards on 19-of-38 passing, with Xavier Worthy as his top target with six catches for 46 yards. DeAndre Hopkins caught five passes for 36 yards.
