MCU Return of Beloved Avenger Destined to Be a Disaster, Fans Won’t Get What They Expected

In response to declining box office returns and growing public fatigue, Marvel decided to unleash the only force in the universe more powerful than Thanos: nostalgia. We already knew that Robert Downey Jr. was mysteriously returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dr. Doom, the perfect (if confusing) foe for the Avengers to fight in their next big cinematic showdown. Now, The Wrap reports that Chris Evans will also return Avengers: Doomsdayand while fans around the world celebrate, I’m here to warn Marvel fans that this return is destined to disappoint.
Fans want to see Chris Evans return to the MCU (in Avengers: Doomsday or any other film) has been growing ever since the actor appeared in it Deadpool and Wolverine. His appearance was an interesting one, as fans were excited for the return of Captain America only to discover that Evans was actually reprising his role as Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four films. The news that Evans will be in the next Avengers movie has fans hungry to see the real Cap’s triumphant return, but I have bad news for those fans. Basically, the Chris Evans you see in it Avengers: Doomsday it will be anything but the real Cap.
Among die-hard Marvel comics fans, the most likely theory is that Evans will be playing the Beyonder, a powerful cosmic entity that will take on the familiar face of Captain America. That’s exactly what happened in the 1985 comic series Secret Wars IIwhen the One from Beyond came to Earth and decided to impersonate Cap. Assuming that the film will lead directly to Avengers: Secret Warsit’s a safe bet that Chris Evans will be playing the Beyonder like Captain America Avengers: Doomsday.
Let’s just say that fan speculation is wrong, though, and that the beloved actor isn’t playing the Beyonder in the next Avengers movie. If so, we will probably find a more controversial incarnation of the character: Hydra Cap, a strange character created after 2015. Secret Wars comedy event. As the name suggests, this is an evil version of Cap working for Hydra, and although this character’s story was very controversial for fans of the comics, I wouldn’t put it on the Russo Brothers to blow fans away by bringing Hydra Cap to the big screen. .
It’s possible that Marvel executives will find a secret, third character that Chris Evans will play Avengers: Doomsdaybut I can bet all the diplomas in Reed Richard’s office that the MCU legend will play Beyonder or Hydra Cap. Why am I so sure he won’t play the real Captain America, anyway? Plus Cap was old by the end The end of the gameit would just be bad writing and marketing to bring back the “real” Cap almost immediately after the premiere of Sam Wilson’s first Captain America film (a film whose cursed production schedule means it already needs all the help it can get).
I’m sure Chris Evans will play his heart out Avengers: Doomsday no matter what…after all, his playing Johnny Storm and not Cap didn’t stop him from being outrageously insulting. Deadpool and Wolverine. However, I’m here to remind naive fans to moderate their expectations for this film, as Evans will definitely be playing a character very different from Robert Downey Jr.. And if Marvel fails to deliver what everyone is really crying out for, the result could be a kind of box office disaster. this box does. Miracles it looks like cinematic art.
