Drake The latest celebrity to support a competition like his honor.

The rapper, 38, said he will award $10,000 to the winner of the contest held in his hometown of Toronto on Saturday, December 14.

After Toronto’s Casuals Bakery announced a similar contest, the “God’s Plan” rapper went viral on Instagram last week. “I’m adding 10 bands to the contest that look alike … as the grand prize,” Drake said in a direct message shared publicly by the bakery on Thursday, December 12.

The owner of Casuals wrote alongside a screenshot of the exchange, “I can’t type and shock is going through my body. But yes this is true and real and I hope the Drake doppelgängers are ready 🔥 LETSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOO. “

The contest, similar to Saturday’s, was won by a female fan wearing pigtails similar to the one Drake was seen sporting in October and a struggling beard, according to a video shared by the bakery.

A contest like Drake’s follows similar contests around the world that celebrate popularity Timothée Chalamet, Paul Mescal, Glen Powell, Zayn Malik again Harry styles.

Mike Mitchella Staten Island-based contestant dressed as Willy Wonka, won the event. Mitchell, 21, told Us Weekly “He was going to buy a bunch of chocolates” with the money he won.

In November, Hit Man star Powell, 36, has promised the winner of a similar competition held in Austin, Texas, a medal in his next film about a family member.

“Look, I know there’s money and a hat at stake here, but I just want to say that the winner of today’s contest gets a personal award from me,” Powell said in a video shared by X. “Now you may know. that my parents make a cameo in every movie I make, but today, the winner of the contest to look like Glen Powell wins his parents, or any family member they like, a cameo in my next movie. I am totally committed.”
