Assuming the movie isn’t on hold anymore, Marvel fans will see Sam Wilson’s theatrical performance as Captain America next year. After Steve Rogers found his happiness after the conclusion The end of the gameThe Russo Brothers set up Anthony Mackie’s Wilson to take on the mantle, perhaps ushering in a new era for the actor.
Unfortunately, it is now completely clear that Marvel has no faith in their new Captain America character. You can tell how long it took to develop his solo film and the recent reports that Chris Evans is returning to the MCU.
Clear Signs That Marvel Doesn’t Believe In Sam Wilson by Anthony Mackie
Why are we so sure that Marvel has no real faith in Sam Wilson to replace Steve Rogers as Captain America? First, it’s simple math: as of this writing, it’s now been five and a half years since this new character took on the role of America’s most famous defender. We haven’t seen each other Captain America 4 (currently there is a title Captain America: Brave New World), but at the same time, Marvel released it all a trilogy of Steve Rogers films.
Sure, we have a TV show that focuses on Sam Wilson, but it didn’t feature him as Captain America. The show felt like an extended prologue Captain America 4. However, that film has been delayed several times, and there are reports that the latest delay was due to poor screening tests and the need for reshoots. If these reports are true, it serves as proof (not that we needed more) that Marvel doesn’t know what to do with its most popular character.
Marvel isn’t sure they want Sam Wilson to be Captain America
Speaking of famous faces, it seems Marvel isn’t sure it wants the public to associate Sam Wilson with Captain America. It is reported that Chris Evans will return to the MCU in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday. While we’re pretty sure he’ll be playing the Beyonder (the main character in the comics) instead of Captain America, wild thinking that Marvel is bringing back the original Cap character soon after Wilson’s Cap drama.
The strangest thing about Marvel’s lack of confidence is that it’s unfounded: Anthony Mackie is an amazing actor and he might just as well stand out as Captain America as he did as the Falcon. Good acting does not always equal good writing, but with the right script, Captain America 4 it can once and for all eliminate the phenomenon of modern warrior fatigue.
Disney executives seem hesitant to let him fly. Instead of an entire trilogy of Wilson Cap movies, the studio takes forever to get a one movie they came out as they made effective plans to destroy Mackie by bringing back the famous actor who originated the role.
As for us, we are crossing our fingers Captain America 4. The many delays and reshoots reported could have resulted in a better film, and it assures us that Disney doesn’t want to rush a bad film. But the longer it takes for Sam Wilson to make his theatrical debut as Captain America, the more likely it is that his character is being snubbed and dismissed by one of the biggest studios in the world.
Forget evil people like Zemo. It turns out that the biggest enemy holding our heroes is the studio responsible for their cinematography. Until someone is defeated seewarrior fatigue is here to stay.
