James Kennedy Allegedly ‘Threw’ Woman Down Before Arrest
In the police records from the night James Kennedyarrested, he is accused of throwing an unknown woman to the ground.
The woman reportedly told the Burbank Police Department that “her boyfriend picked her up and threw her to the ground,” according to documents seen by multiple outlets including People.
The arresting officer was called to the scene for an “unknown problem.” It is not clear whether Kennedy’s girlfriend, Ally Lewberhe made a statement. Us Weekly contacted Kennedy’s team for comment.
Us confirmed Thursday, December 12, that Kennedy, 32, was arrested domestic violence misdemeanor earlier this week. He was released on $20,000 bail.
“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made by the Burbank Police Department against James,” Kennedy’s attorneys said in a statement. “We understand that there were no injuries and we hope that after careful consideration, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”
A source later told Us that Kennedy’s arrest was based on “a complete misunderstanding.”
“They were arguing and a neighbor outside heard them fighting and called the police and the police came,” said someone close to the situation. We, and says Lewber, 28, does not plan to press charges.
I Vanderpump Rules Star and Lewber have been together since 2022. Hours before Kennedy was arrested, he joined his girlfriend at DIRECTV’s “Christmas at Kathy” holiday party in Los Angeles.
It was only told by an eyewitness Us that Kennedy appeared “very happy” during one part of the party.
“[James] and Ally were hugging together and taking pictures,” said the second source Us. “She seemed like she was in a good place and was dancing, singing and having fun.”
A third insider, however, said Kennedy was “running around” the party and “causing a scene.”
“His friend was chasing him from Kathy’s basement all the way around Kathy’s backyard, and James looked crazy as he ran away,” a third source said. Us. “The young man who was chasing him almost fell into the dam and dropped the lamp into the pond, causing a big incident. Everyone was wondering what was going on.”
Party guest Nick Viall confirmed the alleged incident during Thursday’s episode of his anonymous podcast.
“I was like, [shocked] and his friend just took a drink while James was walking. I was like, ‘That was crazy,'” Viall, 44, said on Thursday’s episode. “Ten minutes before, I met this guy who introduced him as his best friend, and after 10 minutes, he was giving orders.”
Viall added, “It was great. I felt like I was seeing something precious, and I was the only one who could see it. Everyone else was on their way.”
Lewber has not spoken publicly about the incident. Us has reached the comment.
