DNC fundraiser says Democrats ‘stink’ at party following Trump’s defeat

DNC National Finance Committee member Lindy Li said the Democratic Party was weakened by the victory of President-elect Donald Trump to the point where it smelled like a “loser”.

“I think, unfortunately, the Democratic Party has a bad smell written all over the party,” Li, the party’s top fundraiser, said on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

Big Tech leaders like Google CEO Sundar Pichai, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have all met with Trump or directly, in Altman’s case, made donations to Trump’s inaugural committee after his victory. election.

Amazon plans to make a $1 million donation Trump’s launch a bag. Altman also donated $1 million to Trump’s first fund, with Zuckerberg announcing similar plans to strengthen his relationship with the president-elect.

“Speaking as a Democrat myself, this brings me no joy to say. I feel that the Democrats will be sent into the wilderness for at least the next four to eight years and Jeff Bezos is probably thanking his lucky stars that he has withheld that deal,” said Li. “They are doing everything they can now to continue the détente.”

Bezos ended the presidential endorsement of the Washington Post, which he bought in 2013, just before Election Day this year. The decision angered liberal workers and journalists who were eager to throw the paper’s official position behind Vice President Kamala Harris.

When asked about the reaction of the tech industry as a whole to Trump’s victory, Li said they are excited about his upcoming administration.

“I think the tech world loves the fact that Donald Trump is going to be the next president,” Li said. “He’s really embraced crypto. He says he wants the United States to be the crypto capital of the world.”

Li also addressed the growing unpopularity of key Democratic Party policies, including addressing illegal immigration, saying voters are “tired” of Democrats.

“I speak as an immigrant,” said Li. “For immigrants like me, who are naturalized Americans, proud and grateful Americans, it’s very offensive that people just pour into the country willingly.”
