While speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, December 11, the star Sarah Jessica Parker we teased new episodes that will have “new faces growing up.”
“[My character] Carrie has an amazing story line. The story takes big turns and we wrap big ideas in those big turns,” he teased, according to him. Variety. “Some of the male characters are back, and there are new men.”
Parker, 59, reflected on the “crazy long hours” that came with filming the season over seven months.

Sex and the Citywhich first aired in 1998, focuses on Carrie Bradshaw (Parker) and her dating life in New York and her friends Charlotte York (Kristin DavisMiranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall). After six seasons on HBO and two movies, the new series was renewed as And Just Like That by Max in December 2021.
The revival introduced several love interests for Carrie after the season 1 premiere killed off her husband Mr. Big (Chris Nothi). That same month, Noth, 70, was accused of sexual assault by several women. Noth, who has been married to Tara Wilson since 2012, denied it at the time. In response to the scandal, Max dropped the show’s scenes with Noth.
Carrie’s ex-boyfriend Aidan, played by John Corbettand made an appearance in the revival series. After joining season 2 of And Just Like ThatAidan quickly won over Carrie – and viewers – once again with his charm. But at the end of the season, Carrie and Aidan broke up again.
Not everyone was happy with the narrative decision, especially after the runner-up Michael Patrick King he teased a different outcome, telling the New York Times in June 2023, “I didn’t bring Aidan back from failure.”
One month later, the King defended the decision to have Aidan and Carrie play the long game.

And we don’t want fans to think we’ve done that again,” he explained on the AJLT’s official companion podcast. “The only way we know she’ll ever break up with him is if it’s a big love – and every parent would think that’s a big love – [was] responsibility and love for your children.”
Corbett, 63, was seen filming scenes with Parker in season 3.
And Just Like That currently streaming on Max. Season 3 will premiere in 2025.
