A luxury sports car splits in two in a crash in Texas, killing two people
A McLaren luxury car split in half, killing the driver and passenger after it collided with a sedan and crashed into a tree in Texas on Monday.
The incident happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Abrams Road and Royal Lane in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, Fox 4 News Dallas-Forth Worth reported, citing police.
The two people who were in the black car who died are Cristobal Flores Espino, 29, and Robert Leroy Rocha, 31.

The woman driving the sedan, a gold Toyota, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, Fox 4 reported, citing police.
It is not clear what caused the first collision between Toyota and McLaren, which appears to be a 570S Coupé and is capable of reaching speeds of over 200 mph. The scene is about 10 miles north of Downtown Dallas.
Video and photos from the horrific scene showed the McLaren unusually split in half. The front part of the car is wrapped around a tree while the back part is on the road about 30 meters away.

The Toyota was also seen hitting a tree and its hood went in.
Police and investigators were at the scene collecting evidence. They said the investigation is still ongoing.

The 570S Coupé models are powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
They were designed and built by UK car manufacturer McLaren Automotive, from 2015 until 2021.
