Mysterious drone sightings continue to be reported in New Jersey with no answers
Mysterious drones continue to be reported flying overhead in New Jersey, as residents still have no answers as to why there have been so many drone sightings.
Drones were reportedly first seen in Morris County, New Jersey, in mid-November. Drones have since been spotted regularly across the Garden State, including recent increases in Middlesex County and elsewhere in the state.
State officials said they are taking the sighting of the mysterious drone seriously, and Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, said Thursday there is no known threat to the public at this time.

Murphy said he held a meeting with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, senior officials from the Department of Homeland Security, the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and the New Jersey State Police to discuss the drone sightings.
The FBI is investigating these incidents and has urged the public to report any sightings of unmanned aircraft.

“FBI Newark, NJ State Police, and the NJ Office of Security and Preparedness are asking the public to report any information related to recent sightings of possible drones flying in multiple locations along the Raritan River,” the FBI said in a statement. on December 3.
“Witnesses saw a cluster of what appeared to be drones and a possible fixed-wing aircraft,” the statement continued. “We have had reports from the public and law enforcement for the past few weeks.”

Drones have been seen at night in some areas, and sometimes seen moving in groups.
Drone sightings have also recently been reported on Staten Island in New York.
