The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the creation of a new Canadian territory.
The new site – created to better provide leadership and support to all Church leaders and units in Canada – will be operational on Aug. 1, 2025.
The new area will result from the division into three existing areas – North America Central, North America Northeast and North America West areas. Toronto, Ontario, will serve as the Canada Area president’s headquarters and field office, which includes an interim director of affairs and other local staff and support functions.
