Bachelorette Alums Trista and Ryan Sutter Celebrate 21 Years
Ryan Sutter again Trista Sutter they are celebrating 21 years of wedded bliss.
“I’m struggling to find new words to describe how much I love you or new ways to express how much you mean to me,” Ryan, 50, wrote via Instagram on Friday, December 6, alongside a black-and-white selfie of himself. and wife Trista.
“It’s hard to explain but easy to hear. You make it easy to feel good, happy, great joy and gratitude and peace inside,” continued the former NFL player. “Not much about life is easy, not much except to love it…. And I do and I have and I will – every second since I said I do…. #Happyyanniversary mom. HIF #love.”
Ryan was chosen by Trista as the winner of the first season of The Bachelorettewhich aired on ABC in 2003. Trista, meanwhile, celebrated her marriage to Ryan on Friday, sharing a photo of the two of them at their wedding on Instagram.
“It was Dec. 6, 2003 and I didn’t think I could be this happy,” he wrote. “🤍 Looking back on that incredibly special day, I realize that I was actually incredibly happy. I was definitely the happiest I’ve ever been. But throw in a life put together over the course of 21 years with fur babies, peaks and valleys, lots of love and lots of laughter – and I know a different kind of happiness. True, strong, honest happiness, where I feel seen, known and deeply loved.”
He concluded by saying, “I respect them both. I appreciate it, @ryansutter. Happy Anniversary, babe. HIF ❤️.”
Ryan and Trista tied the knot in 2003 during a three-part television special. Now, the pair have two children: son Maxwell, 13, who they adopted in 2007, and daughter Blakesley, 11, who they adopted in 2009.
Trista has talked about her secret to a lasting marriage with Ryan, she said Today in 2015, “It’s like your job. You have to put the time and effort and energy that you do into everything else in your life, and I feel that way [Ryan and I] do that.”
He added at the time, “We’ve had our bumps in the road, like everyone else, but it’s really about focusing on each other and making time for each other.
In 2020, Trista talked about the experience of being married on television, appearing on an episode of the “LadyGang” podcast. The Bachelorette The producers had planned some stories during her big day.
“I know it’s been going on since my season, but that’s TV,” he shared during a November 2020 interview. “That’s what they have to do. Planners need to know who these people are and be able to pull specific clips from their ITMs (in time). A TV show, will always be a TV show. It starts [to be] more of a TV show, I feel like, compared to how it was back in the day. “
