Kate Middleton’s Christmas service is similar to Princess Diana’s

Princess Kate Middleton a festive look in red as he kicks off the holiday season with his “Ndawonye Ngo Nastraat” song service.

Kate, 42, arrived at Westminster Abbey in London on Friday, December 6, alone, wearing a red coat adorned with a black velvet bow. Kate completed her look with pearl drop earrings and wore her brown hair down in loose waves.

The look immediately reminded us of Kate’s late mother-in-law, Princess Dianawho wore the same red coat as Catherine Walker in 1984 when she was at Birmingham Airport with then-husband King Charles III.

The Princess of Wales has organized the church service “Together for Christmas” for several years to give people the opportunity to reflect on love, compassion and the essential connection during life’s most challenging times. The event also shines a light on those across the UK who have shown incredible kindness, compassion and support in their communities.

Before the service, Kate greeted several attendees including Olivia Dean, Paloma Faith again Richard E. Grant. He also wrote letters to those who left, which were revealed earlier this month.

“Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year,” Kate wrote. “It is a time of celebration and joy, but it also gives us the opportunity to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all. It is when we stop and remove ourselves from the pressures of everyday life, where we find space to live our lives with an open heart, love, kindness and forgiveness—so much of what the spirit of Christmas is all about.”

He continued, “Love is a light that can shine even in our dark times. We all have something to offer each other. Gentle words or a listening ear, an arm around a tired shoulder, or being by someone’s side quietly.”

Friday’s appearance caps Kate’s 2024 challenge. He was diagnosed with an undiagnosed cancer earlier this year and completed a round of chemotherapy in September.

“The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we had to find a way to navigate stormy waters and an unknown road,” Kate said in a statement released earlier this fall. “With humility, it brings you face to face with your weaknesses in a way you never imagined before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”

He added, “This moment reminds us more than anything [Prince] William and I meditate and give thanks for the simple but important things in life, which many of us tend to take for granted. Just by loving and being loved.”

Kate and her husband William, 42, share three children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
