RHONY’s Brynn Whitfield Still Running From Alleged Sexual Assault
The Real Housewives of New York City star Brynn Whitfield detailed her sexual abuse for the first time – revealing that she is still face-to-face with her suspect, whom she has never publicly mentioned or accused directly.
“[In] “I’m 30 years old, I’ve got a lot of problems, things on my mind,” Brynn, 37, told People on Tuesday, December 3. “There are all these things that I had in my head. I have a right, but sexual harassment was not one of them.”
She remembers being sexually assaulted by an unnamed man who was described as someone on social media in New York City who “reprimanded” her. Brynn noted that she felt “like a shell of me” after the incident – and didn’t tell anyone for months.
“You just go home, and you just take a shower, and you want to pretend it didn’t happen,” she said. “I think my water bill that month was like $10,000 … and there’s not enough soap in the world. [to get clean]. … You try not to put chlorine in your fancy bathroom.”
Brynn noted that she was “literally numb” after the incident and “blamed herself” for what happened.

He also spoke candidly about what happened on Tuesday’s episode RHONY.
“I just felt dumb and embarrassed and sorry. It’s like, none of this should have happened to me,” said Brynn in her confessional with tears in her eyes. The Bravo star said her past assault “robbed” her of many incidents – mostly because she never told her late grandmother and avoided talking to her.
“It took away my desire to get married. It deprived me that I could have them or not have children,” he continued. “The worst thing is, it took away my last year [my grandmother].”

Brynn noted that she felt like a “liar” last year.
“Every time people ask me why I’m single, I smile and say, ‘Oh there aren’t enough billionaires in the world’ or ‘I’ve dated them all,'” she said. “It’s like a knife that keeps going in and I just feel like I’m lying and I want to feel better because it’s never ending and I’m running out of time.”
In his time People in the interview, Brynn explained why she wanted to share her experience publicly.
“You have to find a reason in everything. There is a reason I had to face this and to be honest, it opened my heart,” he says explaining how this incident has changed his view on dating.
