Stefanos Tsitsipas is a man who rarely shies away from reality, who prides himself on practicing the lessons he has learned.

The 2019 Nitto ATP Finals Champion ends his 2024 season as one in Turin, finishing 11th in the PIF ATP Live Race. However, in a philosophical way, Tsitsipas has reflected on his year in a post titled ‘Learnings’ published on his Instagram.

“Not getting into the ATP Finals this year was a humbling experience, it taught me the importance of resilience and vision,” wrote Tsitsipas, who made five consecutive appearances in the season finals between 2019 and 2023. “I’m fighting for you, but I- I’ve learned that perfection is not within me, and that’s okay.

“Even wishing doesn’t just come from your thinking. The real difference is in the achievement and consistent effort.”

In April, Tsitsipas won his third ATP Masters 1000 title in Monte-Carlo and reached the last eight at Roland Garros the following month. In August, the 26-year-old ended his partnership with his father, Apostolos, as coach and appointed Greece Davis Cup captain Dimitris Chatzinikolaou.

Although the results did not go as expected, ending the year with a 45-22 winning record, Tsitsipas is determined to continue working with Chatzinikolaou in an effort to build momentum for the start of the 2025 season. Tsitsipas will start his campaign by representing Greece in the United Cup, which is a mixed team event.

“Change is not a bad thing,” added Tsitsipas. “It is a process that requires patience and dedication. Even if the results don’t appear immediately. I hope these changes will lead me to where I want to go.”
