Martha Stewart made a baking mistake before Thanksgiving Day

Martha Stewart spent hours in the kitchen to make this Thanksgiving memorable.

On Wednesday, the entrepreneur, author and TV host took to Instagram to share that she baked 35 pies this holiday. Although Stewart is an expert cook and baker, he admitted that he made a mistake when preparing his pies.

“A total of 35 baked pies – chocolate pecan, brown butter maple rum pecan, pumpkin phyllo, apple crumb, and cranberry!” he started writing on social media.

Stewart went on to share the ingredients she used when preparing a batch of pies.

“It took two days, 100 eggs, 14 pounds of pecan halves, eleven jars of Karo syrup, 25 pounds of heckers flour, thirty plugra butter, six cups of maple syrup, 60 ounces of puree, 18 cups of cranberries, etc,” he explained.

“I used three large ovens that are now a mess because I stupidly forgot to put cookie sheets under some of the pies and they bubbled and oozed everywhere -the pies are delicious!” he concluded.

Stewart uploaded a photo carousel on Instagram that included close-ups of all of her different pies.

Before he became the face of his famous lifestyle brand, Stewart was a striker stockbroker on Wall Street.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history and architectural history from Barnard College, she married Andrew Stewart and became a stockbroker, then transitioned to a new career by opening a restaurant company.

In 1982, the first of many Stewart books were published, entitled “Entertaining,” and it was all about how to handle large and small gatherings.

Then came Stewart’s Lifestyle magazine, published by Time Publishing Ventures, and her syndicated TV show, “Martha Stewart Living.”

From there, Stewart began introducing different product lines focusing on household items.

All of this led to Stewart’s company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, going public on the New York Stock Exchange in 1999.

Stewart’s career was halted in 2004 when he spent five months in prison and five months under house arrest.

His prison time was linked to his involvement in insider trading in December 2001, when he sold his majority stake in ImClone Systems, a biopharmaceutical company, the day before it announced bad news.

After serving his sentence, Stewart began to work his way back into society.

She has maintained a TV presence over the years, on shows like “Martha Bakes” and “Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart.”

The lifestyle expert has also teamed up with Snoop Dogg on numerous occasions, including on the TV series, “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Party Challenge.”
