Katherine Waterston is not a big fan of artificial intelligence.
“Like all technology, there are opportunities for incredible innovation and a real threat and obviously it deserves to be heavily regulated,” he told Fox News Digital.
Waterston starred in a horror film earlier this year titled “Fear,” about an AI home assistant who goes rogue and wreaks havoc on a family’s life.

“We are not in line with the developing standard,” he continued. “And that’s a real concern both in my industry, but in general.”
He added a simple, “Horrible,” to sum up his feelings.
Waterston currently stars in “The Agency” on Paramount+ with Showtime, a spy thriller co-starring Michael Fassbender and Richard Gere.

“To… the cast, the amazing story, the amazing set of directors involved, [screenwriters] at Butterworths. It was just an embarrassment of riches and it’s ridiculous,” he said of signing off on his role as a CIA agent.

Adapted from the French drama, “Le Bureau des Legendes,” this drama is a spy thriller featuring Fassbender’s character, a secret CIA agent, ordered to abandon his underground life and return to London Station. But when the love of his life resurfaces, their love takes over and his job, identity and career are all put on the line, along with his heart.

“I started with this script, and I was fascinated by the take it had on the intelligence world,” Waterston said. “We see a lot of attractive takes or we’re going to see critical takes. And I feel like we’re a good fit here with a skeptical take. That is, the cynical take is nothing good. And the assumption of doubt is that there is no absolute truth. And that opens up a lot of story and character development. ”

“Getting to the heart of something is challenging and mysterious and everyone is hard to explain and everyone is a walking contradiction and people speak the truth out of one side of their mouth and lies out of the other all the time. . So it feels like, there’s a lot to play here and there’s a story that can happen here. ”
Waterston also became fascinated with the history of women in the CIA while preparing for her role.

“I just completely fell in love with the women in the CIA. There are some amazing books. I think it just came out this year called ‘The Sisterhood’ which I loved and it took me through the history of women in the CIA. That ended up being very helpful for me in developing the character, who you have to be to get there and who you have to be to you have risen in the ranks,” he said.
