Vanderpump Rules Stars Respond to Show Renewal
As Us is preparing a brand new version of Vanderpump Rules in 2025 – and so did the OG cast.
Bravo confirmed on Tuesday, November 26, that the show will return for a 12th season with a brand new cast.
Next season will tell Lisa Vanderpump and a new group of “close-knit SUR fans who are as intricately involved as their iconic predecessors.” The new season begins production in 2025, with a premiere date and cast to be announced.
“What a joy it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it again and again,” executive producer. Alex Baskin said a statement on Tuesday. “With deep appreciation for the original team and its incredible run, we can’t wait for audiences to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together.”
After the news was announced, several cast members from the previous season took to social media and shared their experience of filming the reality show. Read on to see what it is Katie Maloney, Sleep Kent and more stars had to say:
Katie Maloney
“It’s a mixed bag. But I wouldn’t change a thing,” said Maloney, 37, on his Instagram page. “Thank you for the memories and love of the past 11 years.”
The Something About Her cofounder also shared a throwback photo of himself in a SUR uniform as Dena Deadly’s “Raise Your Glass” plays in the background.
Ariana Madix
“Vanderpump Rulesyou will always be that girl 💖 I used to wake up until four in the morning looking for all the right pictures and the right words, but there is no post or caption that can cover everything,” said Madix, 39, on Instagram. “I am forever grateful to have been a part of such an incredible culture.”
While thanking everyone who worked behind the scenes, Madix told the staff to stay in touch and “just text me” as they move forward into a new chapter.
“I am very grateful to the fans. you have been the same for the past ten years. Your love and support is what I will miss the most when it’s over. He made this show what it is. To the fans who have shown us, old and new, it is because of you that we exist. I feel at peace with closing this chapter and excited for all that is to come. I don’t know if these were the best days of our lives, but it was something special 💖.”
Kristen Doute
Doute, 41, expressed how happy he was to meet Madix while filming Vanderpump Rules.
“Thank you very much because without it, would we have found each other?” commented on Madix’s Instagram. “We enjoyed making memories and making new ones.” Madix later replied, “I love you.”
Sleep Kent
After joining the show for season 4, which premiered in 2015, Kent, 34, couldn’t help but share his “mixed feelings” about the news.
“Sur was a place that became home. Not only did I find myself sipping on vodka sodas there, but behind the woman’s stand. “To this day it’s still the scariest job I’ve ever had,” Kent wrote on Instagram. “After a while the opportunity to be in the program is called Vanderpump Rules it came down in front of me. … It’s no secret that I don’t like change. This is different.”
Kent went on to thank everyone for “rocking with us for so many years.” This show changed my entire life. I am incredibly grateful for every moment. I am incredibly grateful to Bravo, to NBCU, to our team, to the entire cast, and most importantly to all of you. We rocked this guy until the wheels fell off 💃.”
Brittany Cartwright
In a series of Instagram stories, Cartwright, 35, shared a few memorable memories from filming. Vanderpump Rules including a trip to Miami and a brief stint at Hooters.
“OMG Some of those VPR memories will be memories I cherish for the rest of my life,” he wrote online. After seeing Kent’s Instagram post, Cartwright added, “Oh the memories we’ve made! I love you Lala.”
Stassi Schroeder
Before Schroeder, 36, returns to reality TV in season 2 of The Vanderpump Villathe first one Vanderpump Rules star commented on Kent’s Instagram post. “This post made me feel some emotions,” she wrote with a heart emoji.
Lisa Vanderpump
“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary experience filled with laughter, tears and everything in between,” Vanderpump, 64, said in a statement. “I cannot thank enough those who shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always leads into another. We are excited for the next generation Vanderpump Rules.”
Andy Cohen
After years of hosting the Vanderpump Rules they are thrown together again Watch What Happens Live appearance, Cohen, 56, paid the first cast online. “These were the best days of our lives…” she wrote of X while quoting the lyrics of the show’s theme song.
Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss
A spokesperson for Leviss, Juliette Harrishe commented on the way i VPR trembling will affect his client. “The good thing about Rachel is, at the end of the day, this is all going to work out for her now,” Harris said in an episode of the “Going Rogue” podcast. “That will allow him to fit into his current life.”
Harris also shared that, “For Tom Sandoval in particular, this is a great time to reinvent himself” following his cheating scandal with Levis that occurred during Sandoval’s relationship with Madix. (News of Sandoval’s romance with Leviss broke in March 2023 and was written about in seasons 10 and 11 of the Bravo series. Levis did not return in season 11, but his past actions were front and center.)
Tom Schwartz
“The way the last 12 years play in my mind ❤️@bravotv @evolutionusa vintage @liljonhamm edit,” Schwartz wrote on Instagram alongside a video of the cast’s best moments set on Friends theme song.
James Kennedy
Bravo’s favorite reality TV DJ said she was “holding back tears” as she wrote her thank you note for the show.
“It was a pleasure to be a part of it Vanderpump Rules and filled your TV screens with our lives for the past decade,” he shared on Instagram. “I have dedicated my life to this show and I am very grateful to all who sang.”
James named some of his DJ successes, including Neon Carnival, EDC and Stagecoach.
“I have to thank you all,” he added. “It was a wild game and I’m excited to see what the future holds. Although this is a sad ending, for me this is still the beginning!”
