Carville says ‘no-nosed’ young development staff hurt Harris by ‘fading’ over Rogan
Democratic Party strategist James Carville has blasted young progressives in Harris’ campaign, saying their role in ending his interview with Joe Rogan helped him lose the election.
A campaign official said earlier this month that Vice President Kamala Harris declined to appear on the “Joe Rogan Experience” because of “concerns about how the interview would be perceived in the Democratic Party” and “backlash from some of our progressive staff who didn’t want to be with her.”
Now, as many political commentators continue to argue about how the Rogan snub hurt Harris, Carville blasted the influence of labor.
“The vice president was thinking about continuing with Joe Rogan’s plan and a lot of the young, progressive workers were surprised,” Carville said via Politicon on Tuesday. “It is said that the campaign said that it is not the reason that decides, but they did.”

The experienced campaigner went on to explain how to deal with young workers trying to express their own ideas.
“When you’re putting together a campaign and you’re hiring new people to do the work, let me tell you exactly what you’re telling these people. What I’m telling them is: ‘I don’t care about your f—ing opinion,’ I’m not even going to call you by your name. You’re 23 years old, I don’t give a— what you think,” she said.
“And let me tell you another big mistake, the biggest f—ing mistake that people make when they say, ‘Campaigns need to show progressive values.’ No, they don’t.
“If I was running the 2028 campaign and I had a 23-year-old guy who was saying, ‘I’m going to resign if you do this,’ I wouldn’t just fire that mother—, I’d find out who hired them and fire her right then and there!” he added. “I really don’t care about your ignorant, stupid, jacka– opinion about whether or not you should continue with Joe Rogan.”

While Carville said identity politics helped Harris’ campaign, others, like comedian Jon Stewart, argued it didn’t. Carville called them out, saying that even if the Harris campaign downplays the revival, the fact that Democrats have been going on for years has not been forgotten by conservatives.
“Uf—ing wrong! It was used! Look at politics – in comedy, if you tell a bad joke, who gives a—-? You just tell a better joke and throw away the bad joke. . In politics, if you have a bad goal, especially one as bad and as stupid as you were , you can discard it, but the other side will play.
Carville later lamented that many Democrats “had to lose the election because of the stupidity we had at the beginning of this decade. My heart goes out to you, you all served your country and your party with great honor, I have to remember and I’m sorry that these holes had a big impact on you losing your job. “
He then quipped that progressive Democrats were getting their wish at the expense of victory.
“I think the progressives have their dream,” Carville joked. “We’re more than a beach party, and we’ve dumped all these mates, and maybe you can all sit around a coffee house in Lower Manhattan and celebrate how smart you all are.”

Carville argued for months before the election, and after Trump’s victory, that the Democratic Party needed to retool its messaging. Earlier this year, Carville made headlines when he warned that “preaching women” and “resurgent women” were driving away male voters. After Trump’s victory, he said that the Democrats had the bad smell of awakening attached to them.
