Jayson Tatum Responds to Anthony Edwards’ Trash Talk

Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards face each other for the first time since the Netflix release It starts at 5 A documentary where Ant challenged the Celtics star.

It looks like Tatum is in charge now, after the Celtics’ 107-105 win over the Timberwolves on Sunday, where he recorded 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.

“We had two great games against each other last year, and obviously, we spent the summer together at the Olympics,” Tatum said after the game. “I love Ntuli. He is a hell of a player and a hell of an opponent. He talks a lot. And he has a lot to say this summer about the games we played against him last year.”

Edward’s trash talk from the show caught Tatum’s attention, but he didn’t dwell on it too much.

“I saw it. We talked a lot during the summer,” Tatum added. “I got the best record against Minnesota in my career. That’s the only time he’s hit so far.

“But I mean it’s fun. They are a really good team, well trained. They have a lot of talent over there, so I’m sure in the near future the games against these guys will be very interesting.”

Edwards’ comments were made after the Wolves won 114-109 over the eventual C champions last season.

After the game, the show filmed Edwards asking why Tatum is considered one of the top talents in the league.

“He saw Tatum try to put me in the machine, he shut his a** off twice,” Edwards said. “He started talking s***. Tatum was talking crazy, saying, ‘Yeah, I’m here,’ and I said, ‘I’m coming back.’ Talking about ‘the best player in the league, trippin’.”
