Julie Chrisley Helped Savannah Make a Visiting Thank You List

While Julie Chrisley it won’t be on his family’s Thanksgiving table, daughter Savannah Chrisley he makes sure to include his mother in the holiday preparations.

“When mom helped you make your Thanksgiving list when you visited last week,” Savannah, 27, wrote on her Instagram Story on Saturday, November 23, along with two sad emojis.

Alongside the caption, Savannah shared a photo of three napkins with handwriting on top. One napkin read “Menu,” and had several dishes written on the bottom, including lasagna, spicy vodka pasta and salad.

A napkin placed next to her had a long list of toppings, including chicken stock, pumpkin and pecans.

Julie and her husband, Todd Chrisleywere charged with tax evasion in 2019. The two, who tied the knot in 1996, were found guilty in June 2022 of tax evasion, bank fraud and conspiracy.

Todd and Julie were initially sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively. Us Weekly previously confirmed that Todd’s sentence was reduced to 10 years, while the judge recently decided to uphold Julie’s original sentence of 84 months.

Amidst her parents’ legal troubles, Savannah took custody of her brother Grayson, 18, and niece Chloe, 12. (Todd, who shares Chase, 28, and Julie, is the father of Lindsie, 35, and Kyle, 33, since . marriage. Kyle is Chloe’s biological father but was adopted by Todd and Julie in 2016.)

After the judge decided to uphold Julie’s initial prison sentence, Savannah wrote an emotional letter as she reflected on how her parents’ incarceration affected both Grayson and Chloe.

“Chloe is struggling in school, despite the resources I have tried to give her. Both she and Grayson battle anxiety and depression that leave them vulnerable at times,” Savannah read during the October episode of her “Unlocked” podcast. “I am fighting in every way so that they do not become another statistic. Children of imprisoned parents who lose their way.”

He continued, “They are wise, they are good souls who have the ability to change the world and I don’t want this world to break them.” But I can’t do it alone. I need my mother. We need him.”

In the letter, Savannah explained that Chloe asked if Julie would be there during the big events.

“I feel difficulties every day as I raise them, I fight for justice and freedom for my parents and I try to put a roof over our heads,” said Savannah. “As a single woman running a household with one income, it often feels like no matter how hard I work, it’s not enough.”

Savannah continued, “Mom missed so many family defining moments—Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Chloe entering middle school and starting cheerleading, Grayson’s last baseball season, senior year, prom , and now the college admissions process. At all times when children need their parents the most.”
