Women’s golf star Charley Hull hails Trump as ‘a legend, a legend’ after her dance performance
Even women’s pro golf tournaments are safe from the Trump dance.
Amid a flurry of American athletes using dance to celebrate big moments during games since Trump’s election victory, England’s women’s golf star Charley Hull brought the move to The Annika, the sport’s premier event, this past week.
On Thursday, Hull spoke about the dance and his feelings about the president-elect, calling him “brilliant” and “a legend.”
“I love Trump. I think he’s brilliant,” Hull said at the CME Group Tour Championship in Tiburon. “I like the way he talks straight, he doesn’t care what people think, and he gets straight to the point.”

Hull even said that he would like Trump to lead his country, the United Kingdom, instead of its current Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“I wish he was head of the UK,” he added. “I just like him as a person. He’s a little better than our Prime Minister.”
Starmer took office last July after the country’s Labor Party won a parliamentary majority. The victory for the Labor Party ended 14 years of Conservative Party rule and was achieved with the smallest share of the electoral vote of any major government since record keeping of the popular vote began in 1830.

Starmer’s name has already included an early scandal. He faced controversy in September after reports he failed to declare a gift of clothes worth thousands of pounds to his wife by Labor Party donor Waheed Alli, Baron Alli.
Therefore, Trump has earned the love and respect of Hull over the current leader of his country.
Hull previously expressed interest in the Women’s Open Championship returning to Trump Turnberry in Scotland in the future.
“I thought it was a nice golf course, very nice,” he said while preparing for the Scottish Open, per The Telegraph. “I love being out there, and the views are bright.
“To be honest, it’s one of the best golf courses in the world. It would be a shame not to be there.”
Other professional golfers have voiced their support for Trump, including Bryson Dechambeau and Dustin Johnson, who were at the president’s victory party and played a round with him at his Florida course.
