Miley Cyrus on her Fashion Glow-Up: ‘From Walmart to Dolce’
Miley Cyrus he’s come a long way since he jumped on a plane at LAX with a sweater on. The “Flowers” singer put you in the spotlight in the video for Spotify’s “Billionaire’s Club” series. She talks about her meteoric rise in the fashion world, which, as she puts it, has seen her go from “Walmart to Dolce.”
In a clip posted on Instagram on Friday, November 22, Cyrus, 31, recalled how, in 2009, he made a deal with Walmart to create a youth fashion line to gain recognition for his music career.
“‘Party in the USA’ was on an album designed for a collection I created for Walmart,” he said in the video. “And now I’m the face of Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.”
He added, “It really shows the evolution of my work.”
At the time, Koresi was preparing to kick off his Wonder World tour, which Walmart agreed to sponsor. He cooperated with him Max Azria of BCBGMAXAZRIA to deliver a collection of “rock and roll–influenced” silhouettes, skinny jeans and more styles priced at $20 and under.
