NFL issues security alert after break-in at Mahomes, Kelce’s homes linked to ‘organized’ gang: reports
NFL players have been warned by the league to be careful behind the bars Kansas City Chiefs Stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were busted last month in a wave of crimes reportedly linked to international organized crime.
In a memo obtained by the Associated Press, the league issued a security warning to teams and the NFL Players Association, warning that professional athletes in different sports are “more susceptible to hacking by organized and skilled groups.”
I NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero It was reported Thursday that the FBI is investigating the crimes, “which are believed to be tied to a South American crime syndicate.” According to reports, at least one other NFL player had his home burglarized last week.

Law enforcement officials say that the suspects are more vigilant in their homes and even pose as bodyguards or joggers. Some even try home delivery.
The memo urged players to take special precautions, including installing home security systems. They were also encouraged not to post live updates of their arrivals and departures on social media or display their expensive items online.
CHIEFS’ PATRICK MAHOMES LEAVES QUIET AFTER REPORTED CHECK
Sources told NFL Network that burglaries often happen during games, when homes are empty.
Last week it was revealed that Mahomes and Kelce’s home was broken into within hours of the break-in last month. Fox News Digital obtained documents from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office that say the burglary at Mahomes’ home in Belton, Missouri, was reported around midnight on Oct. 6.
Kelce’s mansion in Leawood, Kansas, was broken into on October 7, the same day the Chiefs hosted the event. New Orleans Saints “for Monday Night Football.”

Mahomes addressed the news recently but declined to go public, citing the ongoing investigation.
“Obviously it’s worrying, it’s disappointing. I can’t go into many details because the investigation is still ongoing, but, obviously, it’s something you don’t want to happen to anyone, but obviously you,” said.
