RALEIGH, NC – Twenty returning players and 20 new arrivals on the 40-man roster seem like the kind of balance needed to keep the program’s momentum going. Say, the kind of momentum gained from a College World Series appearance is evident in the last two years or nine consecutive seasons of 36 or more wins. NC State head coach Elliott Avent says his team’s strengths, at least initially, in 2025 will be on offense and defense. And that’s understandable, given the amount of everyday talent on last year’s roster that either made it to the pros or moved up to the pros.
