A month after the body of a Walmart employee was found inside a walk-in oven in eastern Canada, police have determined that his death was not suspicious.

The Halifax Police Department released a statement announcing that the investigation into the death of a 19-year-old woman, who was found in the walk-in oven of a Halifax Walmart on October 19, was not suspicious and there was no evidence. of playing badly.

“We do not believe there is anyone else involved in the circumstances of this woman’s death,” Halifax Regional Police Constable Martin Cromwell announced in a video posted on the department’s Facebook page on Monday.

Cromwell added that they don’t have many details to share and don’t expect any further updates anytime soon.

“We appreciate the public’s interest in this case and there are questions that may not have answers,” said Cromwell. “Please remember the damage that can be caused by society. This woman’s loved ones are in grief.”

Police have not yet released the victim’s name. However, the Gurudwara Maritime Sikh Society, an organization of Sikh immigrants, identified the woman as Gursimran Kaur.

The group also created a GoFundMe page, which is no longer active, that raised more than $194,000 for Kaur’s family.

“Gursimran Kaur was only 19 years old, a beautiful girl who came to Canada with big dreams,” reads a post on the website.

According to the post, Kaur and her mother have both worked at Walmart for the past two years.

On the night of her daughter’s disappearance, a civic official said Kaur’s mother tried to contact her after not contacting her for about an hour but she brushed it off, thinking she was helping a client.

Kaur’s phone was also not available.

“The mother began to panic as it was not uncommon for her to turn off her phone during the day. She contacted the local manager to get help,” the document continued.

Tragically, a few hours later, her daughter’s body was found in a walk-in oven at the store’s bakery.

“Imagine his mother’s shock when she opened the oven, when someone pointed at her!” the public official explained. “This family’s suffering is unimaginable and indescribable.”

Both Kaur’s father and brother were reportedly in India at the time of her death.

“Investigators have met with the family to share this update and offer their condolences,” Halifax police said. “Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”

Spokesman for Walmart previously told Fox News Digital that the store “will be closed until further notice.”

Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported that the store reopened on Monday and that the bakery oven is being removed from the store.

Fox News Digital reached out to Walmart for comment on the latest news but did not immediately receive a response.
