John Fetterman calls Trump’s victory a ‘great revolution for our partners’: ‘They are not fascists’

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman declared President-elect Donald Trump’s victory on election night “a huge turning point for the fraternity.”

Fetterman spoke to Politico this week about Trump’s victory in his home state largely because of the former president’s complaint about male voters. He called out his fellow Democrats for failing to appeal to men in the same way.

“I think this election was a crisis for the bros. And you know, it was weird that the Democrats were like, ‘Oh, the princesses don’t have kids. Okay, that’s weird, I don’t know why. [JD] Vance can say that — you can be part of a family without insulting people who choose not to have children or who can’t have children,” Fetterman said.

He continued, “But it’s the same thing. I mean, is the word ‘bros’ right? And the media uses that freely, offensively. Like, they’re not smart, or deep, or crass. . . And we’re kicking them out.”

Fetterman added, “I don’t understand why you don’t continue with Rogan. I’ve been a long-time fan of his. I don’t agree with him on everything. But don’t we all have a responsibility to challenge our views and be a part of those conversations with people?”

He went on to attack Democrats for “screaming” at voters and attacking Trump supporters.

“I love the people who are going to vote for Trump absolutely. They’re not fascists. They’re not those things. I think if you go to the tickle switch, you use those kinds of words, it would be hard to go back. with those things. A word that’s not really part of the voters’ vernacular. more, that won’t work for the Democrats.

He called out former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for forcing President Biden out of the race and suggested that he should have left office sooner.

“People love it [Nancy] Pelosi, you really tried – what word do I want? – accepted this “you are the godmother, you are the guardian.” And now you’re blaming Biden. Well, you can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted, and now you’re blaming Biden,” Fetterman said. “I think it’s really weird that you have an 84-year-old woman and she’s still waiting. Why don’t you give the younger generation a chance to sit in that seat?”

Although Fetterman is not a fan of Trump, he has repeatedly warned his party that the former president had a “connection” with Pennsylvania voters, especially after the first attempt on his life.

“Immediately after that, when I was leaving, I saw people wearing traditional shirts with that image on them,” said Fetterman. “It’s like, ‘They tried everything. They charged this person, they put him in court. You know, the media. And now they’re trying to kill him, and he survived.’ And he had the presence of mind to respond, and he created that [Barack] Obama? Can you imagine what that would mean for the Democrats?”

Like most of the country, Trump’s victory in Pennsylvania was largely driven by male voters. He won men under 30 and increased his numbers with Black men.
