Help Fund Williams and Family After Tragic Loss
On November 29, 2023, Montana freshman Money Williams was in Reno, Nevada at a game with the Wolf Pack when he received the news that his father had passed away. Less than a year later, Money and her four siblings lost their mother, Latoya Bailey, when she died suddenly last month, leaving Money and her older sister Mo’Ney to care for her three younger siblings.
After the tragedy, Money left the group and has since coordinated a GoFundMe campaign with his sister to help cover funeral expenses and provide stability for his siblings’ education and new family challenges. While dealing with the weight of two earthquake losses and taking responsibility for the future of his younger sibling, Money’s returned at the same time to fulfill his commitment to the program and his journey. After dropping 30 points against the Tennessee Volunteers on November 13, more than $10,000 in donations were reported.
As of November 15th, the GoFundMe has raised more than $100,000 with a goal of $150,000.
“We understand that times are difficult for everyone, and there is no obligation to donate. However, any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference in our lives,” Money and Mo’Ney wrote in the GoFundMe post.
