The Season Finale of High Chances Will Answer Some Questions But Not All

During a special interview with Us Weekly, Daniel Sunjatawho plays Karadec, teased how the hit ABC series ended season 1.
“There will be questions to be answered. There will be an itch that the audience will scratch,” he said. “[But like] good television, you always leave the audience wanting more so they have something to come back to.”
High power will ensure that viewers “have a reason to look forward” to season 2. Despite not being renewed (for now), High power became ABC’s most-watched series in six years after it premiered in September.

This process follows a great thinker named Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) who works with the LAPD to help solve the murder. He is paired with Karadec, who at first doubts how Morgan can help the Major Crimes Unit but ends up trusting him.
“The secret sauce is Kaitlin Olson. The reason why this isn’t your dad’s routine is because of that simple comedy element sprinkled throughout the episode. Morgan and Kaitlin’s performance has a lot to do with it,” Sunjata, 52, said. Us. “It’s a serious police show and it’s a serious process but there’s this simplicity and strangeness that Kaitlin brings to Morgan. That’s what makes this show stand out from other shows I’ve seen.”
Season 1 found Us he invested not only in Morgan’s journey but Karadec’s as well. According to Sunjata, it might be the second season High power he will build on that by focusing on Karadec more outside the police area.
“I think we’ll see more of that in maybe – fingers crossed – season 2. We’ll dig a lot into that. There will be a peek behind the curtain about Karadec outside of the workplace,” the actor said. “What is his life like outside the place. They will probably get into that in season 2.”
Although Karadec won’t be “that different” at the end of the first season, there are still screen changes.
“He has been changed according to the conditions [how] there is more than one way to arrive at the correct answer. It is not necessary to color by numbers. Intuition can play a role,” he said of how Karadec would come to Morgan’s understanding. “It’s not just the fact that Morgan can remember a lot of facts. He has this amazing ability to relate to situations and find meaning in these seemingly disparate facts, which is something detectives lack.”
Sunjata continued: “At the end of this first season, Karadec will have an open mind about how to solve cases. One thing Karadec and Morgan have in common is that they both care deeply about justice. Both care deeply about defending the defenseless and documenting what has been wronged. Karadec is more willing at the end of season 1 to use different solutions to problems than before. That could be due to Morgan’s influence for sure. “

“[With] procedural television, I look at it like a sandbox. The sandbox has boundaries and there is a place where the sand is, and then there is a place where you are outside the sandbox. But within that, you can build endless fortresses,” he explained Us. “Finding freedom in the genre of music was something that was a challenge for me. But for me as an actor, it’s the only way to keep myself interested. To keep it alive is to always try to find new ways [film scenes in the same space]. … Trying to find freedom within the genre is what keeps me grounded and keeps me excited to come to work every day.”
