Dave Coulier and Wife Melissa Bring’s Relationship Timeline

Dave Coulier again Melissa Letha build strong relationships before saying “I do.”

Coulier met Bring in 2005, more than a decade after he and his ex-wife, Jayne Modeanthey ended their two-year marriage in 1992. (The couple welcomed their only child, son Luc, in 1990.)

Coulier popped the question to Letha after nine years of dating in 2014 and the pair married later that year. “I am a lucky man – since 7-2-2005. ❤️ I know,” the Full house alum captioned a July 2020 Instagram photo of Letha with their two dogs, Shorty and Ziggy.

In November 2024, Coulier announced that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Discussing stories during an episode of TodayCoulier said Bring did not believe the news at first.

He said, ‘Did you hear anything?’ And I said, ‘Yes, I have cancer.’ He said, ‘Come on, stop joking.’ And I said, ‘No, I did,'” he shared. “And when that went in, it was a gut punch.”

He went on to praise Bring for being a source of support during his cancer battle, saying, “He’s been amazing since we first got the news. … He’s been there all along.”

2005

The pair met in 2005 after Coulier accidentally tripped a photographer while visiting Montana. “Melissa has been my best friend since I met her nine years ago,” the actress said alone Us Weekly June 2014.

Teased their cute reunion in a June 2017 Instagram post, captioning a black-and-white photo of the two, “12 years ago today this guy tripped me up and I fought for him, really! ❤️.”

June 2012

“7 years,” Bring the caption of the sweet Instagram photo no Fuller House alum.

May 2013

Bring Coulier’s son Luc to his graduation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. “I’m proud to be a step parent to this boy!!!” took a photo of them on Instagram at the event.

June 2014

“I feel like the luckiest man in the world,” Coulier said to himself Unext engagement news. “I’m getting married to my best friend, and he doesn’t mind that I have really bad gas.”

Bring celebrated their big news via Instagram. “Word is out // #happiestgirlintheworld // Marrying my best friend @dcoulier! ❤,” she wrote along with a screenshot of news about their wedding.

July 2014

Coulier and Bring were married during a beautiful ceremony in Paradise Valley, Montana. Several Coulier’s Full house costars were there, incl John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, Bob Saget and show the creator Jeff Franklin.

June 2015

“10 years ago today I met this amazing man and we took this picture! ❤️,” Bring captioned their first photo together via Instagram.

February 2016

Bring joined her husband Fuller House season 1 carpet premiere in Los Angeles. “It’s beautiful. … This Full House! 🏡,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am very happy with all my loved ones on and off the screen.”

June 2018

“Even though I’m married to this beautiful photographer, sometimes I take pictures the right way. #happybirthday @melissacoulier love ❤️,” Coulier captioned a rare Instagram photo of his wife.

September 2019

Commemorate Coulier’s 60th birthday by sharing a cute Instagram photo of them sharing a kiss. “It’s officially a miracle man’s birthday @dcoulier — and sixty looks good on you, hubby!” wrote a caption for the post. “There is no one else I would rather hang out with. My favorite days are the ones with just us, no cell service, naturally. OF COURSE!!!!!”

March 2022

Bring was praised by Coulier via Instagram after the TV host opened up about his battle with alcoholism. “I am PROUD of you. I love you and your energy so much!! ❤️❤️,” he wrote in the words of Coulier, who had a picture of his face covered in blood after falling down drunk.

In his Instagram post of his own, Bring wrote, “Yesterday, @dcoulier opened up in an awkward and beautiful way about the most transformative part of this journey, being calm. This was a great reminder that as we put one foot in front of the other, we can reach our destination , no matter how rough the road may be. I love you and am proud to be your wife, @dcoulier.”

December 2022

The two stood on the ice while enjoying a hockey outing with friends and family. “Every year during the holidays, we rent ice to play with the family by skating. Happy holidays!” Coulier posted Instagram photos from their fun day.

July 2024

“I thank my lucky stars that we were put on this earth at the same time to go through life, @dcoulier,” Brings wrote alongside an Instagram photo of their wedding anniversary. “He is the captain of our family team, my colleague and best friend. Raising a glass to you and this big, big love! Happy Anni, DB – LYMTA.”

November 2024

While opening up about his cancer diagnosis, Coulier said People he and Bring consulted with friends in the medical field to come up with a “specific plan for how they were going to handle this.”

Thinking about telling his wife these stories, he added: “I looked at how those words affected me [Melissa] and I thought, you know, I’m going to be strong through all of this, not just for me, but I’m going to be strong for him.”
