Ben Foster Files For Divorce From Laura Prepon After 6 Years

Ben Foster filed for divorce in Laura Prepon after six years of marriage, Us Weekly can confirm.

With the documents obtained by UsFoster, 44, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the couple’s breakup. He listed their date of separation as September 9, 2023.

According to the documents, Foster asked the court to “equally divide” their assets and debts, according to their 2018 prenuptial agreement. He also expects to enter their “dissolution of marriage agreement and agreed upon parenting plan” in the final divorce proceedings.

Foster and Prepon, 44, were first linked in 2016 when they were spotted packing a PDA at a restaurant in New York City. The pair welcomed their first child, daughter Ella, in 2017.

A year later, the That 70’s Show alum shared on Instagram that she and Foster had exchanged vows. “You’re Just Married!” took their picture. “Thank you for all the love and support. He wishes us all good things!”

Foster and Prepon announced the birth of their second child, a son, in 2020. “Welcome home our new bundle of love,” she captioned an Instagram photo of herself kissing the baby’s hand. “It’s full of gratitude.”

Later that year, Prepon spoke about having a second-trimester abortion after discovering a life-threatening fetal defect. During the interview no Usshe explained how she handled her “anger about my body.”

“I started to really hold my body parts and I said to myself, ‘I love you,’ and I said, ‘I love your arms.’ I love the head. I love the face. I like the neck,’ I go through all the body parts,” he said Us at that time. “I used to say this every day, and I meant it. Of course I meant it.”

While juggling parenthood and her acting career, Prepon opened up about how she manages it all. “I really have to balance work life and mom life,” Prepon said Us in 2022. “Parents have dealt with it for a very long time, I’m sure, but that kind of balance is really difficult.”

He added: “You can see and we have a beautiful and strong family. Thank goodness. We’ll figure it out, but that’s probably the hardest thing—being away from them when I’m at work. The case is strong at times.”

Before tying the knot with Foster, Prepon dated a former costar Danny Mastersonhis brother, Christopheragain Scott Michael Foster. Foster, on the other hand, was always traveling with his ex-fiancée Robin Wright from 2012 to 2015.
