Video clips purporting to show the torture of Palestinian civilians by Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip during the years 2018 to 2020 were published by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday.
The IDF said the items were found during an operation in the area and proved “massive abuses committed by the terrorist organization Hamas against civilians,” as well as human rights violations and repression of those who oppose its rule.
The videos reportedly show torture by Hamas operatives at the so-called “Outpost 17” in the Jabaliya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
The visuals show people with bags over their heads, bound, sometimes in twisted and painful positions. One of the men is hung by his feet from the ceiling and the soles of his feet are beaten with a stick.
The victims reportedly included political opponents of Hamas, suspected collaborators with Israel, suspected prostitutes and homosexuals.
